Project Overview

Goongbe is a premium Korean baby skincare brand inspired by traditional royal skincare rituals from Korea’s Joseon Dynasty. The brand focuses on gentle, clinically tested formulas designed to protect babies’ delicate skin.

The brand needed a Shopify store that could clearly communicate heritage, science, and safety, while delivering a modern e-commerce shopping experience for parents.

Shopjedi was engaged to design and develop the brand’s direct-to-consumer Shopify website, focusing on clean storytelling, trust-building product pages, and scalable product structure.

The client required a website that could:

The homepage was structured to introduce the heritage and philosophy behind Goongbe.

The design highlights:

  • Korean royal skincare inspiration
  • Traditional herbal ingredients
  • Gentle formulas for babies and children

Historically, the brand story references royal baby care rituals where water infused with peach, plum and mulberry extracts was used to strengthen delicate skin.

This storytelling approach helps communicate the brand’s unique cultural origin and credibility.


2. Category Structure for Parents

The store organizes products into clear age-based categories to help parents easily find suitable products.

Examples include:

• Babies (0–24 months)
• Kids (3+ years)
• Sun care
• Gift sets

This structure simplifies the browsing experience for parents shopping for children at different ages.


3. Conversion-Focused Product Pages

Each product page is designed to clearly explain the product benefits while building trust.

For example, products highlight:

  • Hypoallergenic formulas
  • Low-pH gentle cleansing
  • Clinically tested ingredients
  • Long-lasting hydration for sensitive baby skin

This information is presented in a clear visual layout so parents can quickly understand product safety and effectiveness.


4. Ingredient Transparency

Because baby skincare requires high trust, the site provides clear ingredient breakdowns and benefit explanations.

For example, key ingredients and benefits are displayed such as:

  • Natural plant extracts
  • Ceramides for skin barrier support
  • Hydrating oils and soothing ingredients

This transparency helps reinforce the brand’s science-backed skincare positioning.


5. Bundle & Gift Set Strategy

To increase conversion and average order value, the store includes bundled product sets such as complete baby care kits.

These sets provide:

This approach supports both everyday customers and gifting occasions.
